The Expression of 'Self-Esteem' is used numerous times a day but most don't know the exact meaning of it. Most people think that self esteem is the other alias of confidence. Of course confidence is included in the definition of self esteem but its a lots more than just that. The worst statistic is that there are countless people in the world that are at the height of their confidence but have very low self-esteem. Most of the people in the entertainment industry fall into this category. The most common examples are actors, comedians and singers that glow brightly during performance on stage and yet offstage feel totally insecure and sometimes helpless.

There are a few ways of improving self esteem. The most basic thing that you must accept and know is that you are certainly not alone. There are loads of people that have emotional disturbances which may not be very different from your own experience. The second most important fact that you must accept and feel is that you are a very special person, positively unique. Tthere is no one exactly like you on the planet. You are the most important person in your life alive on the earth.

You also have other rights that you may not have thought about. One of the rights is that of allowing yourself to make a mistake. Making mistakes is a natural process, one by which we grow and develop, it is as natural as a woman giving birth. Never forget the saying 'to err is human'. The common denominator here is we learn from our mistakes. We also have the right to respect ourselves just as much as we respect others. And finally the most important right of all is that you have the right to say 'yes' or 'no' and be right every time..

People who have a poor self esteem makes themselves feel that he or she is inferior in some way to others. He / She feels that they are unable to make the correct decisions and is somehow inferior in performance or perception to others.

A very simple technique is called mastering your comfort. . It takes just ten minutes and involves nothing more than sitting and relaxing.. This helps you in bringing back your confidence, what could be simpler than making yourself comfortable?
